Orin came highly recommended and did a great job with a legal issue I was having with my boss. Orin provided me with excellence guidance in employer-employee relations, particularly when it came to defending my rights in the workplace. As a result, we got exactly the result I was looking for. I would certainly suggest him to anyone who feels they are being taken advantage of at their job and are considering legal action or who are just seeking excellent legal advice.

Orin Kurtz helped me with a case of unethical employment practices. I was in a horrific situation with a foreign employer who made working miserable and ostracized me for claiming overtime. Volume of work was massive so the hours were required but overtime was forbidden. I felt obligated to put in the time to get the work done and sacrificed the overtime income. Ultimately, the position became impossible and I resigned. I reached out to Orin and he took on the battle to recover my lost earnings. He listened intently, asked pointed questions to get a clear understanding of the situation. He was clear about his approach and the process he would follow. He kept me informed of his activities and the former employers responses. He recommended strategy and suggested compromises that were sound and, he ultimately recovered my lost wages. He’s the real deal. Doesn’t pussy foot around and doesn’t back off. I’m extremely satisfied with the outcome of this case.

Orin Kurtz helped me with a situation handling an employee misclassification issue. Normally he deals with bigger cases than my situation, but he was happy to help me. He’s not after your money; he is truly there for you! With my particular situation, I was not able to reach a resolution and this is only because of the defendant. Orin Kurtz is very professional. I retained Orin to help me negotiate a better severance agreement with my prior employer. He listened to my story, asked the “right” questions and developed a strategy that highlighted the merits of my case. He was able to talk me through my rights, what action I could take and what I could/couldn’t reasonably expect in a way that was easy for me to understand. He was even available to me on weekends, which I felt was really going above and beyond. Orin provided extremely effective representation and negotiated a monetary settlement as well as non-monetary terms much better what was initially offered. He did a fantastic job.

When my out-of-state employers failed to pay my wages, expenses or severance, taking the attitude that there was nothing I could do about it, I didn’t know where to turn. Long story short, he obtained a judgement in my favor in federal court while the defendants stonewalled. He then undertook a difficult collections process, against out-of-state defendants who were expert at concealing assets. He eventually succeeded in having their bank account seized, forcing them to settle on favorable terms. It was a far better outcome than I had hoped. Orin is just an outstanding attorney and a pleasure to work with. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

I am so happy to report my first A++ Lawyer experience, and it was with Orin Kurtz. Orin has been working with me for nearly two years now, resolving a payment dispute with a former employer who promised several thousands of dollars in payments, yet never delivered them upon termination of our contract.
